Here's a step-by-step guide on how to make cold brew coffee using the Takeya Patented Deluxe Cold Brew Coffee Maker:
Materials:
  •     Takeya Patented Deluxe Cold Brew Coffee Maker https://amzn.to/3CZZfQE
  •     Coarsely ground coffee beans (we recommend a 1:4 coffee-to-water ratio). I always opt for fresh, dark roasted coffee.
  •     Filtered water
  •     Optional: milk, sweeteners, or flavorings of your choice
Instructions:
  1. Begin by removing the cap of the Takeya Patented Deluxe Cold Brew Coffee Maker and removing the coffee filter by turning it counterclockwise.
  2. Add your desired amount of coarsely ground coffee beans to the filter. We recommend a 1:4 coffee-to-water ratio for a strong brew. I don't actually use a scale anymore - instead, I fill the container with whole coffee beans until they cover the screened portion of the filter, dump the beans into the grinder, grind, and return the ground portion back to the cold brew container.
  3. Secure the filter to the top cap by twisting it clockwise.
  4. Fill the coffee maker with filtered water, making sure to leave some space at the top to account for the coffee grounds.
  5. Place the top assembly (filter attached to top cap) onto the bottom compartment and screw on the cap tightly.
  6. Gently shake the coffee maker to ensure that the coffee grounds are evenly distributed.
  7. Place the coffee maker in the refrigerator and let it steep for at least 12 hours. We recommend leaving it for 18-24 hours for a stronger brew. I do make it a point to shake the container every time I open the refrigerator door, but at least once every 3-4 hours.
  8. After the coffee has steeped for your desired amount of time, remove the coffee maker from the refrigerator.
  9. Unscrew the cap and remove the filter.
  10. Dispose of the coffee grounds - you can add these to your compost, use for an all natural skin scrub, and utilize any other interesting Pinterest idea to recycle the used coffee grounds.
  11. If desired, add milk, sweeteners, or flavorings of your choice to the coffee.
  • Store any remaining cold brew coffee in the refrigerator for up to one week.
And that's it! Enjoy your delicious, homemade cold brew coffee using the Takeya Patented Deluxe Cold Brew Coffee Maker.
